Google brings its Lyria 3.5 music model to every Gemini user

Google added its Lyria 3.5 music model to the Gemini app and API, enabling worldwide Gemini users to create full-song, 44.1 kHz stereo tracks from text or up to ten images, with optional lyrics and instrument timestamps. The model includes Lyria 3 Clip (30-second clips) and Lyria 3.5 (multi-minute tracks), applies safety filters that block specific artist voices and copyrighted lyrics, and embeds an imperceptible SynthID watermark in each output. A Munich court on 31 July ruled against Suno for memorising and reproducing copyrighted works, extending jurisdiction to training outside the EU and rejecting user-prompt liability.
