Google Chrome ships WebMCP in early preview, turning every website into a structured tool for AI agents

Google Chrome has launched WebMCP, a proposed web standard that lets websites expose structured tools to AI agents. WebMCP enables AI agents to interact with websites more efficiently, reducing costs and improving reliability. It allows websites to expose callable tools directly to AI agents through a new browser API.
