Google DeepMind Releases AlphaGenome Atlas

AlphaGenome Atlas is a 1-petabyte database that scores the regulatory impact of every single-nucleotide variant using DeepMind’s AlphaGenome AI model. It generates an AlphaGenome Variant Impact (AVI) score for coding and non-coding regions. Researchers used it to identify a splice-disrupting DNM1 variant in a rare disease case and to boost non-coding BMI associations by 22% in a UK Biobank study of 54,000 participants. The Atlas is available through a web portal that requires no coding expertise.
