Goose: 1.16x faster than C++ and 1.12x than safe Rust, while memory safe
Goose is a memory-safe systems language that eliminates heap allocation, garbage collection, and lifetime annotations. Benchmarks show Goose runs 3.3× faster than idiomatic C++, 1.16× faster than hand-optimized C++, and 1.12× faster than safe Rust, while using 1.9×, 1.3×, and 1.2× less memory, respectively. The language achieves this through statically assigned data stacks, contiguous value layouts, and compile-time inference of reference lifetimes.
