Group of bipartisan lawmakers ask US government to ban several hack-for-hire firms
Bipartisan lawmakers urged Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick to place three Indian hack-for-hire firms—BellTroX, CyberRoot and Sunkissed Organic Farms (formerly Appin)— on the U.S. entity list, citing a decade of attacks that stole data from thousands of Americans and used foreign courts to suppress reporting. The letter alleges the companies acted on behalf of the Qatari government, targeting U.S. officials, business owners and lawyers to manipulate litigation and undermine constitutional rights.
