Harvard study predicts most suicide attempts a week in advance
A multiyear study of more than 600 high-risk adults and adolescents found that real-time digital surveys could predict 75% of suicide attempts and 87% of suicide-related crises within the preceding week. The participants, recruited from emergency-room and inpatient settings, completed up to six daily surveys for three months, then one daily for the next three months, enabling the model to capture rapid fluctuations in suicidal thoughts.
