Health minister says mistrust of Palantir is pushing NHS patients to opt out of data sharing

The health-innovation minister said mistrust of Palantir caused roughly 60,000 NHS data opt-outs in the past four months, on top of a 20,000 increase after the 2023 Federated Data Platform announcement. Each opt-out reduces research datasets, threatening the 10-Year Health Plan. The NHS still owns the data models, and an independent review and NAO audit are in progress.
