Hearing tech startup Legato emerges from stealth with $12M and a peek at its AI hearing glasses
Legato, founded by former Bose executives Mehul Trivedi and Steve Romine, raised $12 million and unveiled Legato Frames—AI-powered hearing glasses that embed a proprietary acoustic system in the arms and use dual speakers to amplify voices while canceling 99% of leaked sound. The lightweight frames target users with mild-to-moderate hearing loss and are slated for release later this fall.
