Hollywood studios want film graduates who already use AI, Semafor reports

Hollywood studios hire film school graduates proficient in AI video tools to meet immediate AI fluency needs. Runway launched a university course with NYU Tisch in December 2024, and USC, RISD, MIT, Harvard, and other institutions now offer similar programs using Runway. Google Labs’ Flow Sessions (Sept 2025) and an OpenAI-Tribeca partnership provide tools, mentoring, and funding for short-film projects.
