Homey just made the smart home controller I hoped Apple would build

Homey released the Homey Portal, a 2.8-inch round touchscreen controller with a stainless-steel rotary dial that can be placed on a desk or wall-mounted and is powered via USB-C. Priced at $249/€249 for pre-order, it consolidates control of lights, climate, music and other smart-home devices into a single interface, with shipments slated for December.
