How an Atlanta Suburb Ended Up Sharing Flock Data With More Than 2,000 Organizations

Alpharetta, Georgia, operates dozens of Flock Safety cameras and shares license-plate data with more than 2,000 police departments, colleges, airports and government agencies nationwide, including Morehouse College, Florida’s Fish and Wildlife Commission, and Illinois Medicare fraud investigators. The city receives data from over 1,300 entities such as the Whitley County, Indiana prosecutor’s office and Michigan’s Genesee County Metro Police, and its sharing network has grown 42% in recipients and 125% in sources since June 2025.
