How Bain Capital Ventures plans to deploy its fresh $1.6B fund
Bain Capital Ventures raised a $1.6 billion fund, 14% larger than its previous $1.4 billion round. The fund will invest in 30–40 startups from seed to Series B, focusing on AI infrastructure, healthcare, physical AI, and security. BCV plans to fund compute infrastructure until AI costs become negligible, citing portfolio company Crusoe, a $30 billion-valued data-center developer. The firm leverages Bain Capital’s credit, real-estate, insurance, and private-equity expertise to offer founders equity, debt, and infrastructure partnerships.
