How Climate Resilient Are the Largest Cities?

The analysis of 72 major cities using AlphaGeo’s Climate Risk & Resilience Index separates raw physical exposure from resilience-adjusted risk (RAJ). South Asian megacities (Ahmedabad, Hyderabad-PK, Multan, Dhaka, Kolkata, Lahore) have high exposure and moderate RAJ scores of 35-41. European, African and Latin American capitals (Chicago, Addis Ababa, Melbourne, Barcelona, Buenos Aires, Paris, Nairobi) score below 14, indicating strong resilience. Chinese megacities (Beijing, Tianjin, Shenzhen, Shanghai) achieve the greatest reduction of physical risk, with adaptation efficiencies of 46-50%.
