How long can you expect your original Nintendo Switch to last?

Nintendo will stop supplying original Switch hardware to European retailers in mid-February 2027 but will keep producing Switch, Switch Lite and Switch OLED through 2026. As of 30 June 2026, 156.59 million Switch units had been sold. In Q2 2026 the original Switch sold 660 000 hardware units and 33.81 million software units. New titles such as Rhythm Heaven Groove are the final first-party releases planned, while online services and the eShop will continue “for the foreseeable future.”
