How to add an intro to Apple CarPlay using Shortcuts

The Shortcuts app lets you create a CarPlay automation that plays a custom audio clip the moment your iPhone connects, using a file saved locally in the Files app. By selecting “Is Connected” → “Run Immediately” and adding a “File” action, you can trigger a 2-5 second greeting, then optionally chain actions such as opening navigation, starting a playlist, or showing reminders. Adjust volume or swap files later via the Automation settings.
