How to adjust the audio settings for your AirPods (and why you should)

AirPods 4 and Pro let you switch Listening Modes—Active Noise Cancellation, Transparency, Adaptive, or Off—by pressing and holding the stem, and you can assign different actions to each earbud, such as invoking Siri. The AirPods Control Center also offers Personalized Volume, Conversation Awareness, Loud Sound Reduction, Personalized Spatial Audio, and Hearing Assistance, which requires a built-in hearing test. Custom EQ for treble, mid and bass adjustments will arrive with iOS 27 later this year.
