How to adjust the custom EQ settings for your AirPods in iOS 27

iOS 27 beta adds a “Custom” three-band equalizer for AirPods, letting users adjust lows, mids and highs via Settings → Audio & Routing → Equalizer on an iPhone, iPad or Mac. The feature works with AirPods models that have the H2 chip—AirPods Pro 2, Pro 3, AirPods 4 and AirPods Max 2—once they receive the latest firmware. A “Recommended” preset remains default, and a Reset button restores a flat response.
