How to edit Claude's memory

Since summer 2025 Claude can retain topics from past chats, and users can edit or delete each memory via the Settings → Memory menu on the web client or mobile app. Enabling “Include sensitive topics” allows storage of health, race, or political data, while “Generate memory from chats” can be paused or reset, which permanently erases prior memories.
