How to limit Instagram from using your data for AI and ads

Instagram can use activity within the app and data from connected devices, networks, and businesses to personalize ads and AI responses. A new “Activity from other businesses” control in Accounts Center lets users block external business data from affecting ads, feed content, or AI. Users can also limit tracking by disabling app-level permissions (tracking on iOS; location, contacts, camera, microphone on Android) and revoking contact syncing in Accounts Center, while Instagram will still rely on on-platform activity and basic signals such as age, location, and device information.
