How to safely dispose of your old TV

A working TV should be factory-reset to delete personal accounts and Wi-Fi data before being given away, sold, or donated. If it is still functional, friends, family, or online marketplaces can be used to find a new owner, while charities and thrift stores may accept it if it is not a CRT. Non-working or damaged units must be transported to a local e-waste recycler, following local guidelines to prevent hazardous materials from entering landfill.
