Humanoid robots have beaten Usain Bolt's 100-meter dash record

The Tiangong Ultra humanoid robot ran 100 meters in 9.39 seconds at the second World Humanoid Robot Games in Beijing, beating the previous robot record of 21.5 seconds and surpassing Usain Bolt’s 9.58-second human mark. Honor’s Lightning robot placed second at 9.47 seconds, while the same model later won a half-marathon in 50 minutes 26 seconds. The multi-sport event runs Aug 22-26, featuring thousands of robots in disciplines such as soccer, table tennis and boxing.
