Synthesia built an interactive avatar of the author, trained on her article about venture-backed startup fraud, using voice-to-text, language, text-to-voice, and video models. The avatar can answer questions about the research paper and the author’s motivations. Synthesia, valued at $4 billion with $100 million ARR, offers three product lines: scripted video creation, agentic interaction sessions, and an API platform for custom avatar development.
