I Fixed a Tractor Using John Deere’s Self-Repair Service. Farmers Aren’t Sold on It

John Deere’s Operations Center Pro Service lets owners connect a laptop to a tractor and receive step-by-step repair instructions; the author fixed a water-in-fuel sensor on a 5130ML in minutes using the software. Deere launched the subscription-based program in 2025, charging $195 per machine or up to $5,995 annually for fleet access, after settling a $99 million FTC-related repair-cost lawsuit.
