I spent a day at a robot “carnival” in Shanghai. Here’s what I saw.

China’s robot “carnival” outside Shanghai showcased over 100 firms displaying embodied AI, with most of the 13,000 two-armed, two-legged robots delivered worldwide last year made in China. Visitors saw a mini robotic dog performing stunts, a quadrupedal robot climbing stairs, water-bead dueling bots, a coffee-making humanoid from DexForce, and arms folding T-shirts, while other cities feature humanoids running half-marathons and performing martial-arts routines.
