IDC expects Apple to ship 10 million foldable iPhones in year one at $2,500

IDC projects Apple’s first foldable iPhone, priced at $2,500, will sell more than 10 million units in its launch year, reviving a segment expected to fall double-digitly. Foldable shipments are forecast to rise 12.6% this year and 18% next year, with Apple slated for 40% market share by 2027. In the EU, the phone must show an energy label indicating class C repairability, class B drop-survival, and a 1,000-cycle battery rating.
