IDScan is offering free credit monitoring and ID protection after leaking driver's licenses

IDScan.net disclosed that an unauthorized third party accessed customer data, including full names and driver’s license numbers, and is providing free credit-monitoring and identity-protection services to those affected. The breach is linked to a FBI investigation after a dark-web marketplace was found selling scans of more than 153 million U.S. and Canadian IDs, with IDScan cited as a possible source. The company is cooperating with federal law enforcement while notifying impacted users.
