If Meta’s going down, it’s taking TikTok and YouTube with it

Meta agreed to a $17.1 billion settlement with 47 U.S. states and several territories over kids-safety violations, imposing new app-change requirements. In an open letter published as a full-page ad in The New York Times, Los Angeles Times and Washington Post, Meta says the settlement creates an industry standard that it will leverage to pressure competitors such as TikTok and YouTube.
