IMAX or LieMax? How to tell the difference

The IMAX logo can denote vastly different formats: a true 1.43:1 screen with 15-mm film or dual-laser projection, or a converted multiplex with a wider 1.90:1 screen using older Xenon or newer single-laser systems. To identify the experience, check the screening label (e.g., “IMAX 70mm” or “IMAX with Laser”) and verify aspect ratio, while community-maintained theater maps can reveal projector type and 70 mm capability.
