India’s Airbound bags $37M to take on trucks with rocket-like drones

Airbound secured $37 million in Series A funding led by Greenoaks, raising total capital to nearly $50 million. The company develops vertical-flight drones, including a 3.3-lb model that carries 2.2 lb, designed to reduce logistics costs by eliminating runway use. It has completed more than 13,000 autonomous flights in Bengaluru and Guntur, including 1,000 deliveries for Narayana Health, and plans a 10,000-flight-per-day network in Andhra Pradesh that would require 250–1,000 aircraft.
