Ineffable Intelligence names six cofounders, Fortune reports

Ineffable Intelligence announced six new cofounders, all former DeepMind researchers or early backers, after raising a record €1.1 bn seed round in April. The hires—Chris Apps, Wojciech Czarnecki, Lasse Espeholt, Junhyuk Oh, Alexandre Laterre, and Heather Gorham—bring expertise from AlphaStar, MetNet, and InstaDeep, and will focus on reinforcement-learning research rather than general-purpose AI. The London startup, valued at $5 bn, remains product-free and is rebuilding a specific DeepMind-era team to pursue autonomous algorithm discovery.
