Inertia Enterprises finds a way to make its fusion fuel fast

Inertia Enterprises reduced its fusion fuel-pellet production from weeks to minutes, achieving crystal growth in about 30 minutes and completing a pellet in two to three hours, a process now scalable to industrial levels. The faster method leverages a laser four times more powerful than the NIF’s, allowing greater tolerance for imperfections and lowering tritium inventory needs.
