Inner Mongolia signs $27bn of AI computing projects

Inner Mongolia approved 12 green computing projects worth 186.46 billion yuan ($27.49 bn). It launched a platform to market Chinese AI services abroad, connecting overseas developers with local AI models and green computing resources. Projects involve Volcano Engine, ByteDance Cloud, Cambricon Technologies, and China Telecom, covering green intelligent computing centres, token factories, and manufacturing of computing-power and electricity equipment. Horinger New Area in Hohhot hosts 62 data centres with 150,000 petaflops capacity; Ulanqab reaches 172,000 petaflops, with over 95% dedicated to intelligent computing.
