Inside Meta’s push to put robots to work in data centers

Meta is testing robots from vendors such as Watney Robotics, Kinova and ABB to plug cables, reset servers and perform other data-center tasks, aiming to reduce human labor as its AI-infrastructure footprint expands. Trials include a Kinova Gen3 arm for power-cycling servers and a separate robot for swapping networking cables, which could automate up to 80% of certain workers’ duties.
