Instacart launches an AI grocery shopping assistant called Clementine

Instacart has introduced Clementine, an AI-powered grocery assistant that converts conversational prompts, recipes or uploaded lists into ready-to-buy carts, offering personalized recipe suggestions, dietary filters such as gluten-free or vegetarian, and surfacing relevant deals and lower-cost alternatives. The service, now live in the United States and Canada, joins similar AI tools from Uber Eats and DoorDash, aiming to keep shoppers within the app for meal planning and purchase decisions.
