Instagram cracks down on AI accounts pretending to be human

Instagram will label accounts that feature AI-generated personas with a new “AI-generated profile” tag, replacing the previous “AI creator” label. The platform will actively seek out accounts that fail to self-label and will limit their reach or otherwise penalize them. This change aims to make it clear to users when a profile is not a real human.
