Instagram will demote AI-generated influencers if they don't clearly label their account

Instagram now requires accounts that feature AI-generated personas to display an “AI-generated profile” label; accounts that omit the label will have their reach reduced. The rule replaces the earlier optional “AI creator” tag and targets fake AI influencers that have been promoting apps, brands, and false wellness credentials. Creators can appeal penalties through the Account Status dashboard.
