Installing an iOS public beta on your iPhone? Always do this first

Before installing a public iOS beta, create an archived local backup on a computer: connect the iPhone, enable “Encrypt local backup,” run “Back Up Now,” then right-click the latest backup and select “Archive” to prevent it from being overwritten. This archived backup can be restored if you need to downgrade, using the appropriate IPSW file downloaded from IPSW.me.
