The iPhone Duo lacks variable aperture and a dedicated telephoto camera

The iPhone Duo offers a 48 MP Fusion main sensor and a 48 MP Fusion ultra-wide sensor but omits a dedicated telephoto lens and the variable-aperture system introduced on the iPhone 18 Pro, limiting true optical zoom performance. Apple markets the main camera’s “2× optical quality” using digital zoom, while the ultra-wide lens doubles as a macro camera and the device supports 4K 120 fps video, hands-free shooting, and Duo Preview for subject framing.
