James Pond's creator is not happy with the series' allegedly AI-generated legacy collection

The upcoming James Pond Legacy: The Pond Is Not Enough compiles four titles from the Amiga, Genesis, Commodore 64 and SNES, but its menus and box art were created with generative-AI images, prompting criticism for their garish style. Creator Chris Sorrell, who was not consulted and does not own the IP, condemned the collection as disrespectful and accused the developers of exploiting the brand without regard for its legacy.
