Judge blocks X rival from using Twitter name, but allows ‘Tweet’ for now
A Delaware federal judge barred Operation Bluebird from using the “Twitter” name but found X likely abandoned the “Tweet” mark and the bird logo, allowing the startup to rebrand as Tweet.app. The company, led by former Twitter trademark lawyer Stephen Coates, opened early testing, charging $20 for handle reservations after 172,000 pre-launch requests.
