A Judge Has Blocked the Pentagon’s Attempt to Blacklist Anthropic
A federal judge in California blocked the Pentagon’s February 27 decision to label Anthropic a “supply-chain risk,” ruling the move unconstitutional retaliation and an abuse of discretion. The order vacated the blacklist, removed sanctions imposed by nine agencies, and affirmed that the Pentagon may still choose other AI vendors but is not required to use Anthropic’s models.
