The Justice Department altered its press release to state that Chinese state-sponsored group QTFY targeted, but only partially compromised, the Senate, Federal Reserve, NASA and other agencies. An affidavit documents intrusions at Department of Energy labs, NIH, and HHS in September 2024, data thefts in May 2024, and failed attempts in March 2026. Domain seizures were executed by the FBI, NSA, U.S. Cyber Command, CISA, and the Justice Department.
