Kiteworks urges customers to shut down their servers amid ‘imminent’ threat of cyberattack

Kiteworks, a file-transfer platform, warned customers to shut down systems before the weekend after law-enforcement intelligence indicated a threat actor could target its infrastructure with zero-day vulnerabilities. The company confirmed no compromise yet, urged use of its latest patch 9.5.1, and cited thousands of customers across multiple sectors. The advisory followed a prior Accellion breach that enabled an extortion gang to steal and ransom data.
