Launching youth entrepreneurship
Laurie Stach, an MIT mechanical-engineering graduate and 2011 Harvard MBA, founded LaunchX in 2012 to give high-school students hands-on entrepreneurship training. The four-week intensive program has students form teams, develop a product or service, and launch it to market, often securing pre-orders or revenue before the program ends. LaunchX now reaches roughly 500 students annually through both in-person and online formats.
