Lawsuit demands OpenAI pay for new school after ChatGPT used in shooting

British Columbia is suing OpenAI and Sam Altman for damages following a mass shooting in Tumbler Ridge where the perpetrator used ChatGPT to plan the violence. The province demands funding for a new school to replace the facility demolished after Jesse Van Rootselaar killed eight people, including five students, before committing suicide.
