LinkedIn adds new tools to fight fake profiles and bogus work histories

LinkedIn announced new verification tools that let members vouch for colleagues’ experience and give companies controls to remove false employment claims from their pages. Vouching requires the verifier to have a verified, two-factor-protected account and a year-long connection. Companies can now mandate workplace verification for new page associates and expand external partnerships with Truecaller, PeerSpot, Adobe, and UserTesting to display verified identities.
