Macaque facial gestures are more than just a reflex, study finds

Researchers studied macaque facial gestures to understand neural circuitry. They found that previous assumptions about facial gestures were incorrect. The study aims to lay a foundation for future neural prostheses that decode facial gestures from brain signals.
