macOS 27: new Siri takes on AI productivity apps

macOS 27 Golden Gate adds a Siri AI that can be summoned anywhere on the screen, using Visual Intelligence to include the focused window or a selected area as context for queries, image searches, or shortcuts such as “Add to Contact.” Siri now works with Spotlight, providing web answers, searches across Applications, Files, Actions, and Clipboard, and can run Shortcuts, review recent history, proofread, rewrite, or draft text in any text box. Safari includes AI-powered page tracking for price drops, policy changes, or new posts, and automatically organizes tabs by topic. The OS introduces Liquid Glass icons, consistent corner radii, edge-to-edge sidebars, and enhanced child-safety controls.
