MagSafe vs. USB-C: Which is better for charging your MacBook?

MagSafe 3 chargers attach magnetically and disconnect when pulled, preventing a laptop from being yanked off a desk, and can deliver up to 140 W (or 50% charge in 30 minutes) with Apple’s $99 adapter. USB-C uses a standard port, typically supplies 60 W but can reach 100 W or 240 W on newer MacBook Pro models, allowing a single cable to power multiple devices.
