MediaTek is using TSMC's cutting edge 2nm process for its latest chip

MediaTek’s Dimensity 9600 Pro is the first smartphone SoC on TSMC’s 2-nm N2P process. It uses a 2+3+3 All-Big-Core CPU layout, cuts multi-core power by 61%, boosts single-core speed by 17%, and raises multi-core performance by 15% over the previous generation. The chip adds dual NPUs, an Agentic AI Engine, 27% higher gaming peak performance, 18% faster ray-tracing, 24% lower peak power, and supports 4K 120 fps video capture. Oppo, Xiaomi, Samsung, Motorola, Realme and other manufacturers plan devices with the Dimensity 9600 Pro.
